Dane County SO: 300-400 activists ‘violently’ breaking into Wisconsin dog breeder facility
BLUE MOUNDS, Wis. (WFRV) – Law enforcement in southern Wisconsin is currently trying to control a protest that they say is no longer peaceful, noting that hundreds of activists are ‘violently’ trying to break into a dog breeder facility.
According to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday morning, roughly 300-400 activists are trying to break into Ridglan Farms in Blue Mounds, and the situation has spiraled out of control.
Ridglan Farms is a “USDA Class A dog breeder” in the Village.

Dane County Sheriff released the following video statement on Facebook around 11 a.m.:
For an update regarding the violent protests and break-ins that are taking place at Ridglan Farms, we have about 300-400 activists who are violently trying to break into the property and assault our deputies and those who are on-site. They have break-in tools and are cutting into the fence. They have breached through with a vehicle and drove around the property. We have given warnings verbally and have signs that clearly identify where they can peacefully protest, and they have ignored those signs and are actively causing a disturbance and chaos. I want to be very clear that this is not a peaceful protest anymore.
