It’s been an eventful week for newly-minted Dallas Wings guard Azzi Fudd. Not all of the events have been fun, but her most recent one sure was.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Fudd showed off her first full photoshoot as a member of the Wings. She wore her new jersey (No. 35) along with a cowboy hat and also tried on some nice clothes such as pink cowgirl boots and a pink and gold crown.
“WINGS UP 🪽💙,” Fudd declared proudly.
Fudd in the WNBA
Fudd built an accomplished career at UConn, arriving as one of the most celebrated recruits in recent memory. Known for her shooting, scoring ability, and high basketball IQ, Fudd was expected to become the next star in UConn’s long tradition of great guards.
Unfortunately, injuries interrupted portions of her early seasons, though she consistently flashed her talent whenever healthy.

By the final two seasons of her UConn career, Fudd emerged as a centerpiece of the Huskies’ championship pursuits alongside other star teammates. She earned All-American recognition, helped lead deep NCAA Tournament runs, and became known for delivering in pressure moments on the national stage.
Her dominance in the 2025-26 season, which saw her lead the Huskies all the way to the Final Four, earned her the honor of being the latest in a long line of UConn stars to be the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft.
