Fox News halted for breaking news as President Donald Trump made a chilling five-word threat if Iran doesn’t sign a deal with the U.S.
On the morning of Sunday, April 19, Fox News‘ Chief Foreign Correspondent, Trey Yingst, issued the breaking news, sharing that he had just spoken with the 79-year-old Commander-in-Chief, who gave him an alarming update on the war in the Middle East. Trump told Yingst that this is the “last chance” for Iran to agree to a deal.
The president also said he’s vowing not to make the same mistake as former President Obama. “If Iran does not sign this deal, the whole country is getting blown up,” Trump said. This comes as Iran has doubled down on closing the Strait of Hormuz again as the ceasefire expiration looms.
From Tel Aviv, Israel, Yingst told Fox News, “I just spoke with President Trump for about 20 minutes, and he told me if Iran does not sign this deal, the whole country is getting blown up.
“He went on to say that bridges and power plants will be targeted if Iran does not sign this agreement. The president telling me that U.S. Special Envoy Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are heading to Islamabad, Pakistan, for meetings on Tuesday, possibly into Wednesday to try and get this agreement across the finish line.”

Yingst continued, “The president telling Fox News this is a very simple deal. But this is the last chance for the Iranians.
“The president very clear in our conversation that he is not making the same mistake that President Obama made giving cash to the Iranians and allowing them to continue a nuclear program.
“The deal on the table is to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, to ensure that the Iranians do not have this highly enriched Uranium that is buried deep underground after Operation Midnight Hammer last summer.”
“And again, the president telling Fox News that the entire country will be blown up, bridges and power plants will be targeted if the Iranians do not sign this agreement.”
Fox News shared a clip of Yingst exposing the new developments on X, and several of their followers took to the comments section to weigh in.
Many praised the president’s comments, with one person stating, “Trump’s not playing games with Iran this time, dude. Last chance or it’s over—straight talk from the boss.”
Another added, “Iran keeps lying and playing games. 100% behind our President and military ending this fiasco!”

A third echoed, “I voted for this straight, no-more-bulls— talk. Thank you,” as a fourth added, “This is the very definition of not negotiating with terrorist FAFO.”
However, more X users were strongly against Trump’s threats.
One person pointed out, “People will cheer this as ‘tough leadership’… others will see it as dangerous rhetoric. The real question is how far is too far before it turns into something nobody can control.”
Another person noted, “‘Whole civilization will die tonight’ was the rhetorical ceiling. Two weeks ago. Once that threshold is used and not executed, every subsequent threat functions as a step down, not up. ‘Power Plant Day’ on April 5. ‘Last chance’ today.
“Same template, lower decibel. Iran hasn’t flinched through any of it. That’s the Framework signal. Words calibrated for US domestic audience, not coercion of an adversary. Monday’s reprice will price the rhetoric accordingly.”
A third said, “I won’t lie, this is just getting old at this point. This is like the 10th, ‘last chance.’ Get on with the show man.”
Meanwhile, a fourth penned, “Threatening to ‘blow up’ a whole country isn’t leadership, it’s dangerous rhetoric. Donald Trump should be pushing diplomacy, not escalating tensions with Iran. The world needs de-escalation, not war talk.”

Yet another questioned, “So genocide the Iranian people? First off, I don’t believe him. Second, the reason I don’t believe him is that I hope the USA military knows that would be illegal.”

The blockades have halted Pakistani-led mediation efforts and cast doubt on whether the two-week truce can be extended.
Tensions soared even further on Sunday when Trump raged at Iran for breaching the ceasefire by firing shots on Saturday in the Strait of Hormuz.
The president threatened to destroy civilian infrastructure in Iran if it rejects the peace deal being offered by the US. “If they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran,” Trump wrote.
He said that negotiators will arrive in Pakistan on Monday for a second round of discussions with Iran.
“It is impossible for others to pass through the Strait of Hormuz while we cannot,” Iranian parliamentary Speaker Mohammed Bagher Qalibaf stated in a state television interview broadcast late Saturday.
Qalibaf, serving as Iran’s lead negotiator in discussions with the United States, condemned the US blockade as a “naive decision made out of ignorance.”
