Secret Service ushered reporters into the briefing room after a security alert.
“Secret Service is moving press into briefing room at the White House because of a security alert of some kind,” News Nation reporter Libbey Dean posted on X on Wednesday morning.
Minutes later she followed up with “Secret Service just gave us the ‘all clear.'”

It is not clear what the security alert was but it appears that there is currently no threat.
The Mirror US has reached out to the White House for comment.
Washington bureau chief of Deutsche Welle, Ines Pohl, posted a photo of an officer running outside the White House perimeter.
“Security alert at the White House perimeter,” she wrote on X. “The lawn press tents have been evacuated, and everyone is moving to the press room. No further information is available at this time.”

This comes just days after a man attempted to break into the White House after jumping over a security barrier, prompting US Secret Service officers to tackle him to the ground.
A security alert was triggered at the White House in Washington DC following the incident at around 11.30am local time on Thursday. The man’s identity has not yet been released. He jumped over a construction bollard near the Treasury Building on the north-east side of the complex, a Secret Service spokesperson said.
The man was intercepted almost immediately and detained. One officer sustained a non-life-threatening laceration during a “physical altercation” with the man, the spokesperson said. Both the officer and the suspect were taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
Secret Service Communications Chief Anthony Guglielmi told Newsweek: “Shortly after 11:30 a.m., a man was quickly detained by uniformed U.S. Secret Service police officers after jumping over a construction bollard near the Treasury Building on the northeast side of the complex.
In 2014, Omar Gonzalez, an Iraq War veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder, jumped the fence on the Pennsylvania Avenue side of the White House and entered the building before being arrested by security officers.
