Shania Twain will host the 61st ACM Awards in Las Vegas for the first time in her career
Twain has won five ACM Awards in the past, including Entertainer of the Year in 2000 and the Poet’s Award in 2022
The awards show is set to go down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 17

On Wednesday, April 22, the five-time Grammy winner, 60, was announced as the host of the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas — marking her first time hosting the annual ceremony.
“I’m thrilled to be hosting the 61st ACM Awards in Las Vegas, a place that feels like home.” said Twain in a statement. “It’s such an honor to be part of this incredible night celebrating Country Music’s biggest stars, especially with so many talented women leading nominations this year. I can’t wait to welcome all of the fans and artists out for this unforgettable night.”

The “Any Man of Mine” performer added on social media, “First time hosting the @acmawards!! Now what will I wear? 🤠 looking forward to a night of Country Music and celebrating musical talent in my favourite city!”
ACM CEO Damon Whiteside said the organization is “honored to welcome” Twain as host of this year’s awards show, noting in a statement that she’s the “perfect icon” to follow past hosts Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks and Reba McEntire.
“Shania has an impressive history on the ACM Awards stage including her win of the coveted ACM Entertainer of the Year trophy and receiving the ACM Poet’s Award honoring her prolific songwriting career,” continued Whiteside.

Twain has won five ACM Awards in the past, including the Poet’s Award in 2022, Entertainer of the Year in 2000, the Double-Diamond Award for The Woman in Me and Come on Over in 1999 and both Album of the Year for The Woman in Me as well as Top New Female Vocalist in 1996.
The 2026 ACM Awards nominations were announced earlier this month. Megan Moroney led the pack, followed by Miranda Lambert with eight. Ella Langley and Lainey Wilson each received seven nods. Other top nominees included Chris Stapleton, Zach Top and Cody Johnson.
Performers at the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards will include Lambert, 42, Johnson, 38, Wilson, 33, Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town and Riley Green.
The awards show is set to go down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 17. It’ll stream live on Prime Video, while viewers can also watch via the Amazon Music channel on Twitch and the Amazon Music app.
