The transfer portal has taken college basketball by storm, showing it’s importance to the roster construction of the top teams in the sport. Another important part of roster construction can be retention of their current roster, and one major college basketball team saw a major player come back to school.

Florida, being one of those teams, got a huge boost when Thomas Haugh announced a return to Gainesville. Gators head coach Todd Golden shared that a former Michigan State star played a big role in that decision.
