Though the Pittsburgh Steelers are done making selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, the team isn’t done adding talent. The team is busy filling out the rest of its roster by signing undrafted free agents from this year’s class.

Below is an updated list on players Pittsburgh is reportedly signing. An important disclaimer — sometimes players change their mind and sign elsewhere, often when another team makes a last-second offer of more money. These are verbal agreements and not always ironclad. The team usually announces its UDFA class usually by the end of the night.

Based on the current roster, Pittsburgh can sign up to nine players for an offseason roster of 91. The Steelers received an international exemption for EDGE Julius Welschof, allowing them to carry one more than the usual 90-man maximum.

UDFA Notes

– Boykin spent most of his career at NC State before transferring to Indiana. He had 59 tackles (six for a loss), two interceptions, and once forced fumble last season for the champion Hoosiers. A slow 40 time at his Pro Day, 4.64, pushed him out of the draft. He weighed in at 5’10, 192 pounds and played slot corner and both safety spots throughout his career.

– McRee measured in at 6040, 243 pounds with 31 1/2 inch arms. He ran 4.79 at his Pro Day. In 2025, he caught 30 passes for 450 yards and 4 touchdowns and was named second-team All-Big Ten. Medicals are a concern with ACL tears in 2019 and 2023. Our scouting report concluded:

“Overall, I like McRee as a multi-alignment-moving tight end. He has some juice to his game after the catch and displayed the ability to change his speeds as a route runner, settle into soft spots, and be a dependable pass catcher. He’s also unafraid to go over the middle and take a big shot to make a play.

My concern is as a blocker. He has a good frame size-wise, but he needs more play strength if he’s going to be asked to handle some in-line snaps in the NFL. He can move all over from the boundary to the slot to the H-back role. But he has to make improvements as a blocker to stick.”

– Jobity measured in at 6044, 308 pounds with 33 1/2 inch arms. He ran a 5.05 40 with a 32 inch vertical and 22 reps on the bench. He broke out in 2025 with 30 tackles (6 TFL) and 5 sacks for the Orange, giving him 20.5 TFL and 10 sacks for his college career.

– Marjan played at East Carolina, South Alabama, and Kansas. A starter the past two seasons, he went 30-of-34 on field goals over that span with only two missed extra points. In 2025, he made 14-of-17 attempts and all 40 of his extra points. He’s big for his position at 6021, 205 pounds.

– Metayer spent the past two years at Arizona State after beginning his college career at Cincinnati (he also had a brief stint at Colorado in the spring). He caught 70 passes for 681 yards (9.7 YPR) in his two years with the Sun Devils, including posting a 38/375/4 line in 2025. At his Pro Day, he weighed in at 6037, 262 pounds with 33 1/2 inch arms. He did not run a 40 but posted a 34 inch vertical and 9’10” broad.
