Hailey Baptiste vs Kaitlin Quevedo prediction

Hailey Baptiste ended a three-match losing run in Rouen last week, as she beat Jessika Ponchet in three sets. However, she lost her next match against Iryna Shymanovich. Baptiste is still up to her highest ranking of 32 and is seeded for this event, having advanced to the quarter-finals of the Miami Open last week.

She faces Kaitlin Quevedo. The Spaniard began her campaign in Madrid with a win over seven-time Grand Slam singles champion Venus Williams. The 45-year-old has failed to win a match this season, but she threatened a comeback in the second set as she went 3-0 up after Quevedo had taken the lead. However, Quevedo won six of the next seven games to claim a 6-2 6-4 win after one hour and 43 minutes.

Quevedo will hope for another win on home soil, but Baptiste has made improvements this year, and her game is strong enough to get the win.
