KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Kansas City Royals moved Sunday’s first pitch up three hours due to an incoming severe weather threat.
The team announced Sunday morning that the game against the Los Angeles Angels will now start at 3:10 p.m. – moved up from the originally scheduled 6:20 p.m. start.
The move was intended to get the game in before dangerous weather arrives in the metro area.
In the seventh inning, the game entered a rain delay with the Royals trailing the Angels, 7-4.

The Royals enter the finale riding a series sweep opportunity, holding a 2-0 advantage heading into the deciding game.
Fans with tickets should plan to arrive early. Severe weather is expected to impact Kansas City later Sunday evening.
