LOUISVILLE, Ky. — We’re seeing new renderings for a proposed downtown Louisville luxury hotel.
According to the Ghoman Group, an Indianapolis-based hotel developer, the abandoned tower at 401 S. 4th Street will be transformed into a new JW Marriott Hotel and is slated to open in 2027.
The tower used to be the home of Fifth Third Bank before it moved in 2024.
The 26-story hotel will be situated next to 4th Street Live! and includes 414 guest rooms and suites, according to documents on the Louisville Metro Business Portal.
The hotel would also have meeting rooms, event spaces and a large ballroom, according to the Ghoman Group.
Documents on the business portal’s website showed the 11,700 square foot ballroom is slated to be on the third floor.
