Mountain Home Public Schools will host a live virtual event featuring NASA astronaut Captain Jack Hathaway Thursday at 2:30 in Dunbar Auditorium at Mountain Home High School. Students will hear from Hathaway about his experiences with NASA live from the International Space Station.
The event will be attended by students in person and made available to other schools across the district through a livestream. A public link is expected to be shared prior to the event.
Hathaway will discuss his training, missions and careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. School officials say the program is designed to support student engagement and increase awareness of STEM pathways.
The event is part of the district’s ongoing efforts to provide students with access to real-world experiences and career exploration opportunities.
The event will be livestreamed on Youtube @DunbarAuditorium.
