At the park, Tom Grennan has been speaking to BBC CWR and he told us that today’s gig would mean more to him than others and would be one he would look back on in years to come.

He said: “This is one [gig] that I’ll look back on and I’ll think wow – what a special moment to do this for the city of Coventry.

“This city has taken me in and called me one of their own, and it doesn’t ever get better than that. Every time I’m down here I feel like I’m from Cov.

“My grandma’s from Cov, so it does run through my blood. I wasn’t born here, and I wasn’t brought up here but now that I am a Coventry City man, it’s just amazing.”
