SHREVEPORT, La. – One in five adults in the United States experiences mental illness each year, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Brentwood Hospital of Shreveport and KTBS 3 are partnering to provide direct access to mental health resources. The KTBS 3 On Your Side On Call phone lines will be open from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Call 318-861-5827 to speak with professionals and ask questions regarding mental health services. Brentwood Hospital of Shreveport is sponsoring the event.
The hospital staff aims to provide help and hope to individuals experiencing a crisis. Representatives said the goal is to offer resources that help people manage life challenges in a safe and humane environment.
Anyone struggling with mental health issues is urged to reach out during the On Your Side On Call event.
