Lineup notes (updated 6:40 p.m.)
Sam Carrick will make his Sabres playoff debut, slotting into the fourth line for Tyson Kozak. Carrick has been out since injuring his left arm in a fight with New York Islanders captain Anders Lee on March 31. The forward had five goals and won 57.3 percent of his faceoffs in 13 games for the Sabres after being acquired from the New York Rangers at the trade deadline.
The rest of the lineup is unchanged from Games 1 and 2. The team did tweak its power-play units in practice following an 0-for-5 performance in Game 2, with Zach Benson, Josh Doan and Jack Quinn moving up to the top unit alongside Tage Thompson and Rasmus Dahlin.
The second unit consisted of Jason Zucker, Josh Norris, Tuch, Ryan McLeod and Bowen Byram.
