UPDATE: The bear has been located safely. There were no injuries to residents or the bear – the animal is now in the care of wildlife experts with the Wyoming Game and Fish.
Cheyenne police are advising a black bear has been spotted near the 6000 block of E. Pershing Blvd and Whitney Rd.
According to Cheyenne Police, Officers are currently working with the Wyoming Game & Fish Department to safely locate and capture the bear.
Officers advise that if you see the bear, do not approach and contact CPD dispatch at (307) 637‑6525.
