UPPER GWYNEDD TWP., Pa. – It was a daring rescue as police from Upper Gwynedd Police Department (UGPD) pulled a baby deer from a drain.
A post on the UGPD Facebook page stated police received a call for a baby deer trapped in a sewer drain and officers immediately jumped into action.
The humorous post went on to say that as soon as first responders received the dispatch, “we all thought the same thing…Teenage Mutant Ninja Deer!”
Upper Gwynedd Police Department
UDPG Officers Whisler and Coughlin used a lasso and harness to remove the frightened animal from the drain, and they even chose a new name for the deer: “Leonar-DOE.”
