DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Eight baby raccoons were recently rescued at Five Rivers MetroParks in Dayton.
Sergeant Deanna Flaugher was dispatched last week on a report of “some suspicious bandits in one of the parks,” the MetroParks wrote in a Facebook post. After some investigating, the eight raccoons were located in the road and moved to a safer area.

The MetroParks shared that the raccoons were found without their mother nearby. The parks say that doesn’t mean that they were abandoned.

The raccoons were acting friendly, but the park is reminding guests not to feed, touch or play with raccoons for safety.
