The Dallas Wings’ No. 1 pick from the 2026 WNBA draft is set to make her home debut.
The team didn’t provide many details about the former UConn guard’s status. A follow-up question to coach Jose Fernandez in his pregame media availability led to a tense exchange as he declined to discuss Fudd’s injury.
“I’m not going to discuss anything medically in regards to her or what she has done in practice, what she hasn’t done in practice,” Fernandez said. “She’s a big part of this team. There’s a reason why we drafted her No. 1 and she’s going to have a great season for the Wings.”
The Lynx come to Dallas with a notable rookie that has ties to both Fudd and to a local school. TCU’s Olivia Miles was the No. 2 pick in the draft, taken one spot after Fudd.
