MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) – Thanks to more than $100,000 in donations, CityArt Mankato says it has 26 new sculptures that will be going onto pedestals in downtown Mankato on Saturday as part of its 2026-27 art tour.
This year’s sculptures include work from students at Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, as well as local artists and artists from across the country, including Philadelphia and Texas.
Committee Chair for CityArt Mankato Stacey Straka says she’s grateful for the continued support over the past 16 years to keep the project growing.
“I think it’s significant because I think it speaks to the support of arts that our community has, as well as its commitment to build a vibrant community that people want to come to to live, and come to and work in and stay in,” Straka said.
Installation is set to begin at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday and end at 8 p.m.
