Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever lost to the Washington Mystics during their showdown on Friday, 104-102. Indiana erased a nine-point deficit entering the fourth quarter to force overtime, but they simply couldn’t overcome Washington.
Clark led the way for the Fever with 32 points, four rebounds, eight assists and two steals, while Kelsey Mitchell exploded for 24 points. Unfortunately for Indiana, Aliyah Boston suffered a lower-leg injury in the third quarter and was forced to exit.

On the other hand, four players scored in double digits for the Mystics, led by Sonia Citron‘s 30 points. Kiki Iriafen added 25 points, while Shakira Austin scored 19. Rookie Cotie McMahon tallied 13 points to help Washington secure its second win of the season.

While the Fever dropped to 1-2 with the defeat, they did produce plenty of highlights during the game. Clark, in particular, had some of the most memorable moments.
Clark’s best highlight was her biggest shot of the game. With three seconds left and Indiana trailing by three, the All-Star guard drained an off-balanced triple over two Washington defenders to send the contest to overtime.

There have been several angles of the play that have been released, but the latest clip from photographer Bri Lewerke may just be the best one yet.
Lewerke captured the shot through 111 photo frames, and she stitched them together to create a video of the shot.
Even Clark herself loved the post and commented, “I love you.” She also shared it on her Instagram story and said that “Bri is goated.”
Former Fever guard Aerial Powers added, “This soooo tuff!!!”

“Incredible,” a fan commented. Another follower shared, “This is SO GOOD MY GOODNESS.”
“So freaking sick,” a viewer stated.
Indiana reporter Scott Agness said in disbelief, “Sheesh!”
As Clark and the Fever look to turn their season around, it will certainly be interesting to see what other highlights and moments the superstar playmaker will help create.
