LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — First responders rescued a bald eagle chick from a potentially life-threatening situation Sunday in West Lampeter Township.
Lampeter Fire Company, along with help from the Lafayette Fire Company and West Lampeter Township police, rescued the chick after it fell from its nest. Firefighters said a fishhook was also removed from its beak.
Momma and the chick’s siblings were happy to have it safely returned home, and the fire department said its reintroduction went well.
