OGDEN — Bank of Utah is inviting photographers from across the state to submit images highlighting Utah’s landscapes, outdoor recreation and culture as part of the bank’s seventh annual “My Utah” Photo Contest.

The contest opened May 11 and will accept entries through July 6 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Both amateur and professional photographers are eligible to participate.

Participants are asked to submit photos answering the question, “My Utah is ____,” with entries ranging from mountain scenery and red rock landscapes to skiing, hiking and other outdoor activities.

Contest winners will receive cash prizes and publication opportunities through Bank of Utah’s annual photo contest calendar.

The first-place winner will receive $500, a feature on Bank of Utah billboards and the front cover of the bank’s annual calendar. Second place will receive $300, while third place will receive $200. Nine honorable mention entries will also be featured in the calendar.

In addition, the contest’s “Best in Show” award — determined by top votes — includes a $150 prize and a back-cover feature in the calendar.

Bank of Utah plans to announce winners July 13. Selected photos will also be highlighted through the bank’s “Feature Fridays” series on Instagram.

“The My Utah Photo Contest is one of our favorite traditions,” Bank of Utah President Branden Hansen said in a statement. “We’re amazed by the creativity and talent of entrants. It’s inspiring to see how the contest has helped photographers gain recognition and take the next step in their careers.”

All winners, honorable mentions and the Best in Show recipient will receive complimentary copies of the annual calendar.

Additional information, past winners and contest entry forms are available through Bank of Utah. Official contest rules are available at My Utah Photo Contest Rules.
