This summer, the Secretary of State’s Office will host Some Were Neighbors: Collaboration, Complicity, and Resistance in partnership with the Missouri Holocaust Education and Awareness Commission and the Missouri State Archives.
Some Were Neighbors was created by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2013.
The exhibit addresses the question: How was the Holocaust possible?
The twenty-one-panel exhibit examines the role of ordinary people in the Holocaust and the multitude of motives and tensions that influenced individual choices.
The exhibit is free to view in the lobby of the Kirkpatrick State Information Center in Jefferson City and is available during business hours.
The exhibit will remain on display until August 5, 2026.
