Durham police are investigating after a person was shot on Thursday morning.
Around 1:30am, officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound victim near William Penn Plaza. It’s unclear if the individual stayed on scene when police arrived.
The WRAL Breaking News tracker was there as investigators searched a car that appeared to be connected to the incident.
A witness told WRAL three people drove into the Independence Park apartment complex seeking help after one of them was shot.
