What do you do when someone calls the emergency dispatcher and reports that a alligator is out in the middle of the road blocking traffic? You send the “A” team. In this case it was Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputies Bradley Morgan, Vern Kaylor and Clayton Daigle who arrived and took the 9.5-foot gator into custody on Farm to Market Road 1013 near the Neches River and Sheffield’s Ferry.

The gator was then turner over to officers of the Texas Parks and Wildlife who returned it to it’s natural habitat.
