A man is dead after exchanging gunfire with Secret Service officers just outside the White House complex early Saturday evening, the Secret Service said.
The man, who was identified by a law enforcement official as 21-year-old Nasire Best, fired shots at 17th Street NW and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, near the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, according to the Secret Service.
