Most sectors traded in the green, with the exception of FMCG, while Bank Nifty outperformed the broader benchmark, rising 2%. The oil and gas index also climbed after the fourth fuel price hike, and midcap and smallcap indices advanced by up to 1%. Among Nifty 50 stocks, Eicher Motors, Adani Enterprises, and TMPV were among the top gainers, while Max Health, ONGC, and Hindalco were among the key losers.
