Reacher star Alan Ritchson is utterly unrecognizable in a new photo after undergoing a bold hair transformation for the film Motor City.

On Aug. 5, Elevation Pictures posted a snap via X of Ritchson in character for the upcoming thriller set in Detroit, Mich.

In the snap, the actor, 42, donned a white tank top that showed off his ripped physique. Fans, however, were too distracted by the drastic change to his hair, as Ritchson rocked much longer locks on his head and a full beard.

The makeover rendered him practically unrecognizable. Check it out!

In the comments, fans were divided with their reactions to Ritchson’s new look.

One X user declared, “Now This is how you play a roll[sic]. Not that bs playing yourself in every movie.”

Another shared, “Nothing hunky about this look! He looks like a filthy vagabond! I was disappointed with the look in REACHER … WAY OVER DONE THEN… and this is WORSE!”

Someone else wrote, “Finally getting those action stars back like we had in the 90s.”

Motor City is directed by Potsy Ponciroli and stars Shailene Woodley, Amar Chadha-Patel, Ben McKenzie and Lionel Boyce, alongside Ritchson. It will premiere at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival in September.
