WOOD COUNTY, W.Va. (WTAP) – Five power lines are down and one person was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Emerson Avenue.
Authorities said the call for the crash came in at 10:56 a.m. Tuesday and the first units were on scene at 11:04 a.m.
The crash involved a delivery truck and a flatbed wrecker. Authorities said the person taken to the hospital suffered minor injuries.
The power is expected to be out for a while, but Mon Power is on scene.
Traffic is still flowing southbound, but the northbound lanes are being diverted.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office, along with Waverly VFD and CCMC ambulance, are still on scene.

WOOD COUNTY, W.Va. (WTAP) – Emerson Avenue is closed after a crash Tuesday morning.
The crash happened near the 13000 block of Emerson Avenue (Route 2) in the area of Smith’s Greenhouse, according to WV 511.
All lanes are currently closed.
