SEYMOUR — Crews with Aquarion Water Co. have repaired a water main break that closed a section of Route 67 near downtown Seymour, the town’s first selectwoman said.

The break was repaired as of around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, Annmarie Drugonis, the first selectwoman, said in a post on social media. She said residents who see discolored water should run the faucet on cold until the water runs clear before use.

The break involved a 12-inch main along a section of Route 67 known as Bank Street, according to Drugonis. She said an estimated six customers were affected.

Seymour police said Route 67 was open as of around 6:37 a.m. Wednesday, but that it was going to close again for road repairs.
