Forming Kaleo in 2012, the band embraced the genre of blues rock as they released albums like A/B and Surface Sounds. Back in May, Kaleo recorded their first album in four years with Mixed Emotions. Excited to share their music with fans, the group hit the road. And on Tuesday, Frog Alley Brewing expected to welcome both the band and fans. But at the last minute, the Grammy-nominated band decided to switch venues.

Although fans who purchased tickets could still attend the concert, Kaleo moved the concert to the Empire Live in Albany. When looking at the distance between the two venues, Empire Live was only around 20 miles away.

Causing confusion and speculation, Frog Alley Brewing released a statement on Facebook, reading, “We are disappointed. We were only made aware of this decision today, and unfortunately, the decision was made by show organizers without our consent or input.”

Frog Alley Brewing Looked To Make It Up To Kaleo Fans

Although respecting the decision from Kaleo, Frog Alley Brewing added, “We feel that relocating the show to a different city less than a week before the event impacts not only the experience of our customers, but our own goal of bringing live entertainment to Schenectady and creating a strong community connection through these events.”

With Frog Alley Brewing making sure fans knew the decision to move the concert came from Kaleo, the company thanked them for their continued support. “We truly value your support and understanding and hope this situation does not diminish your experience or your opinion of Frog Alley. We remain committed to bringing high-quality entertainment to our city and to you all as our valued guest.”

While Kaleo continued to stay silent on the matter, Frog Alley Brewing looked to make it right for fans. Not able to book a new concert, the bar offered a free drink to any ticket holder. All they had to do was simply show their ticket to the concert and get a free drink.

As for Kaleo, the band will travel to Fairlee, Vermont, for their next concert on August 7th at the Lake Morey Resort.
