Global Custodian is delighted to announce the winners of its fourth annual Leaders in Custody Asia awards, held at Raffles in Singapore last night. 
Deutsche Bank won four awards on the evening, while BNP Paribas, BNY, HSBC, Mizuho, Standard Chartered and State Street netted a hat-trick of honours.
DBS, ICBC and Northern Trust were among the organisations to pick up two awards.
The event celebrated the outstanding securities services providers across the Asia Pacific region, including those who have excelled in Global Custodian’s Agent Bank surveys, alongside our Editors’ Choice, Innovation and Individual honours.
In our Editors’ Choice segment, BNY took home the Global Custodian of the Year Asia award, while JP Morgan scooped Deal of the Year for the second year running for its mandate with Singapore’s Income Insurance Limited.

State Street was recognised for its partnership with Daiwa and its landmark acquisition of Mizuho’s offshore securities services business. The custodian also picked up ETF Administrator of the Year based on Global Custodian’s survey data.
Apex Group secured Fund Administrator of the Year for APAC.
Northern Trust also picked up double honours for its innovation and technology efforts in the Asia Pacific region.
Fintech of the Year went to Proxymity – making it a London and Singapore double this month – while BBH won Fund Services Deal of the Year, for its work with ICBC UBS Asset Management.
Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Mizuho Bank, ICBC and DBS Bank were among the standout winners in the survey categories, alongside MUFG and HSBC.
Deutsche Bank was crowned Agent Bank of the Year: Overall for the second year running, alongside recognition for Emerging Markets.
Standard Chartered won Agent Bank of the Year: Frontier Markets, while the major markets honour went to Mizuho.
Individual honours saw State Street’s Jason Rich and NSE Clearing’s Vikram Kothari inducted in Global Custodian’s Hall of Fame.
The winner of the coveted Industry Person of the Year was Francois Verlaine of Standard Chartered.
