The event was about more than just bourbon and racing—it also celebrated the deep ties between NASCAR, Watkins Glen, and the surrounding community. Head distiller Collin McConville emphasized the importance of this connection, saying, “It localizes it. It makes it so that NASCAR is…because of Watkins Glen, it’s always been part of the community, and now this brings them even further into the community, where they’re out, where people can come, they can have a drink, they can chat with them and stuff like that. I think it’s a fantastic next step.”
