Raven Johnson brings a real energy to the Indiana Fever.
The rookie guard from South Carolina isn’t the biggest player, but she makes her presence felt on the court.
With that in mind, veteran Sophie Cunningham revealed a nickname the Fever apparently have for Johnson.
To be fair, this was just an Instagram comment from Cunningham — maybe it’s a nickname only she uses.
Either way, it’s a fun one.
“Our little baby squirrel,” Cunningham wrote on IG, including two heart eyes emojis as well.

There can’t have been too many athletes called a “little baby squirrel” before, but Johnson seems to have quickly endeared herself to the Fever.
She actually had gone viral a few years ago in college when Caitlin Clark essentially dismissed guarding Johnson near the 3-point line.
Now, they’re teammates, and they seemingly get along well.
Johnson brings the kind of spunk that can help a team as hyped up as the Fever. She’ll play hard and make the right play no matter the expectations placed on her or her teammates.
And then when Indiana needs a boost of energy, they can turn to Johnson.
Someone is going to have to ask about the origins of the nickname. It’s a fun one, for sure, but it might also have a funny backstory.
