Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Tanner Scott and his wife are absolutely shocked after some people sent death threats to their son after a recent loss.
Scott entered Saturday‘s game against the Philadelphia Phillies when his team was up 3-1 thanks to some impressive pitching by their starter, Roki Sasaki. Scott got two outs in the eighth before giving up a single to Justin Crawford. Next up to bat was Bryce Harper who made contact with the ball and drove in a run, narrowing the Dodgers’ lead to 3-2. With Harper on base, Edmundo Sosa stepped up to the plate and hit a 2-run shot off Scott, giving the Phillies a 4-3 lead.

After the game, Scott’s wife, Maddie, took to her Instagram Stories to shared a very unexpected message.
“When did it stop being a game?” she wrote. “I don’t speak out often. Ever actually. I promise you, you don’t know what it’s like unless you’re living it.”
The Scotts share one son, Bo Alexander Scott, who was born in 2023. The couple is expecting another baby later this year.
Maddie shared a screenshot of some of the messages they’d received after her husband recorded the loss, according to the New York Post.
“Hope this mutt d i e s soon,” one of the user’s comments read on a photo of their son.
“I hope you get home to your family lying in puddles of their own blood,” another comment read.

Someone else wrote, “Hope it’s a still b i r t h,” under another Instagram picture.
The comments appear to have been deleted. It’s unclear if the accounts were reported.
