MADISON, Wis. — UW Health patients in Dane County can now receive prescriptions at home faster through a new partnership with Courier Express.
The health system previously delivered prescriptions within several days. Under the new service, UW Health can deliver prescriptions to a patient’s home in Dane County the day after an order is placed, at no cost to the patient.
UW Health also delivers medications throughout Wisconsin and to several other states, with most deliveries typically arriving within a few days.
“Patients’ time is important,” a UW Health official said. “The last thing you want to worry about is having to go to your pharmacy to pick up your prescription, especially when you’re busy and the lines are busy at pharmacies.”
The service applies to all medications, but some prescriptions, including controlled substances, require a patient to be home to sign for the delivery.
Patients can find enrollment information at uwhealth.org, through MyChart or by calling any UW Health outpatient pharmacy.
