Some Social Security beneficiaries are to get their latest monthly money this week, as the U.S.’s Social Security Administration (SSA) begins its June payment schedule.
On Wednesday, June 3, benefits are to be issued to two groups of Social Security recipients.

June’s Social Security payments are to be sent out to recipients who began claiming their benefits before May 1997.
This Wednesday is also June’s Social Security distribution date for beneficiaries who combine the program with Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
A scheme for certain low-income, low-resource individuals, SSI differs from Social Security as eligibility does not depend on a recipient’s employment history.
In June, SSI benefits – which currently average $738.22 per month – are to be issued on Monday 1.

When are other Social Security recipients paid for June?
Of the U.S.’s 71 million Social Security beneficiaries, most will be paid on the second, third or fourth Wednesday in June, depending on their date of birth:
Born on 1st-10th of any month: Wednesday, June 10Born on 11th-20th of any month: Wednesday, June 17Born on 21st-31st of any month: Wednesday, June 24
NB: If you get Social Security benefits based on someone else’s employment history, the SSA refers to the other person’s birthday.
How does the Social Security Administration pay out benefits?
Social Security recipients can update their bank details using the online “my Social Security” tool.
Benefits can be paid onto the Direct Express Card, a debit card for federal disbursements. Sign up at 1-800-333-1795 or 1-800-772-1213, or at a Social Security office.
