Despite the Oklahoma City Thunder falling short in the Western Conference Finals, the team helped deliver record-breaking television audiences.
The NBA announced that the Western Conference Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs was the most-watched conference finals series in 24 years, averaging 10.8 million viewers per game across NBC and Peacock.
Game 7 drew an average audience of 15.9 million viewers, according to the league. Viewership peaked at 17.7 million during the decisive matchup.
The Thunder’s postseason run helped fuel strong national interest in the series, which ended with San Antonio advancing to the NBA Finals.
