Right now you could argue that, in a way, 2026 is the year of Rayman. Ubisoft hadn’t done a ton with the franchise as of late, but that’s finally starting to change.
Earlier this year, we saw Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition. We also just got Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition. And to close out the year, Ubisoft is releasing Rayman Legends Untold, an ambitious remake of the 2013 game for Nintendo Switch 2.
All of the Rayman news we’ve seen in 2026 may have some fans wondering about the future. The good news is that Ubisoft already seems to be giving consideration to what’s to come later on.
In a recent interview about Rayman Legends Retold, we asked production director Alessandro Arndt Mucchi if this is the start of bringing the franchise to the forefront again. Here’s what told us in response:
“Yeah, as I said at the beginning, we see this as the brand new start for Rayman. We are not yet saying what’s in store for Rayman, but we have plans. We are definitely looking at the future.”
Having Rayman Legends Untold be the new starting point for Rayman is something that we heard from Mucchi throughout our interview. He stopped short of sharing any specifics, but the future looks bright right now for fans.
