ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WBFF) — As youngsters, Pat and Cam Spencer loved attending Bill Weber’s Bulldog Basketball Camp every summer. It was a low-key day camp held for years at the former Annapolis Area Christian School complex on Bestgate Road.
Pat and Cam graduated from campers to counselors and coached their younger brother Will. That positive camp experience was the launching pad for careers that have the Spencer brothers playing in the NBA.
Pat just completed his fifth year as a professional and second full season as a backup point guard for the Golden State Warriors. Cam Spencer is coming off his second season as a reserve shooting guard with the Memphis Grizzlies.
“As kids, we looked forward to going to Weber’s every summer. That is where we found our love for the game,” Cam told the Capital Gazette this week. “We knew that some day we wanted to run a camp similar to that one.”
