TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (WJRT) – A young bald eagle is recovering after falling from his nest near Traverse City.

Snow was just 52 days old when his family’s nest gave way and fell to the ground along Grand Traverse Bay. Since Snow is too young to fly, he crashed along with it.

The fall was captured on the Great Lakes Bald Eagle Cam. Property owners have been livestreaming images of Snow’s parents, Harry and Harriet, and the dramatic moment was caught on camera.

Snow was rescued and is now being cared for by the North Sky Raptor Sanctuary. The eaglet is being nursed back to health and has been seen eating breakfast as he recovers.

His story has gone viral, with people following his recovery online.
