SEATTLE — After a months-long hiatus, “Steve’s Snapshots” is back. The ARC Seattle segment offers a chance to spotlight some of the local photographers behind images that show up online and across social media feeds.

The returning segment features David Quinlan, a former Seattle television news reporter who spent a number of years in local TV news before moving into communications roles outside of the industry.

In the interview with ARC Seattle co-anchors Steve McCarron and Tyrah Majors, Quinlan brought a prop: his grandfather’s original Nikon camera, which is tied to how his interest in photography began.

The conversation also explores what Quinlan finds fascinating about photography, how often he shoots, where he likes to take photos, and what he considers the “perfect image.”

Quinlan also discusses the local photography community, including what it has been like building relationships with other local photographers and what he has learned from them. The segment closes with a look ahead to his future plans for his photography work.
