Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, a leak has revealed.
The information comes from billbil-kun, who manages to get early information from retailers. It’s reported that the game is heading to Nintendo Switch 2 on November 3, 2026 courtesy of Atari and Pipeworks.
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee previously hit the GameCube in 2002 and there was also a Game Boy Advance version. This is a fighting title with destructible city environments.
According to today’s report, the upcoming remaster will modernize the experience and bring along additional content. Players will be able to use one of twelve kaiju, each with their own unique fighting style.
One new addition is online multiplayer support. Previously, only local play was supported in the initial release.
As expected, the visuals have also been refreshed. We’re in the HD era and graphical standards are higher, so the team has managed to spruce things up for today’s expectations.
There are a few other things to expect as well. Players can look forward to interactive arenas that allow them to use the environment as a weapon, an updated unlocking system with monsters, locations, and gallery items now unlockable in any order, and additional single-player campaigns for each kaiju.
Atari also just announced this week that it’s bringing back Toy Story games with Toy Story: Retro Roundup and Toy Story 3 Complete Edition heading to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. We have more on that here.
