Rumor has it that Nintendo has some sort of new Wario game in development.

The speculation comes from noarmsandnolegs, who made the claim on social media. We don’t have any details on the project currently. noarmsandnolegs also said that if there is a Nintendo Direct week – which could take place as early as Tuesday – the Wario game isn’t a lock for the presentation.

When asked if the upcoming title is WarioWare or Wario Land, noarmsandnolegs responded with the following:

But we have some hints; Pictonico is literally a Wario Ware thing, and we had Wario World on NSO (before Sunshine / Double Dash lmao) and a Wario Land track on Mario Kart World.

Oh and can we speak about Baby Wario’s return from nowhere in Mario Tennis AND Baby Waluigi finally existing too??!

The main reason why we’re entertaining the rumor is due to noarmsandnolegs’s track history, which is quickly building. So far, this person has been spot on with a couple of things.

noarmsandnolegs was a key figure behind Rayman Legends Untold leaks before the title was announced a few days ago. Aside from sharing correct details about gameplay and more, they also leaked the key art and screenshots.

The second leak was for Spyro: A Realm Beyond, another game for Nintendo Switch 2 which was just revealed. noarmsandnolegs said it would be announced during today’s Xbox showcase – and we all know what happened.

If we do get a WarioWare game, that wouldn’t be overly surprising as we tend to get those very so often. If it’s Wario Land, however, that’d be a much bigger deal as the series has been missing since WarioLand: Shake It on Wii in 2008.

We’ll also mention here that noarmsandnolegs said that the next 3D Mario game has been “in development for years now” and we’ll see Mario “sooner than you expect”. Other rumors indicate that Nintendo is launching that game in 2027.

To reiterate, everything here is a rumor. Nintendo has not made any announcements so take today’s claims with a grain of salt.
