A crash closed a portion of South Saunders Street in Raleigh early Monday morning.

Police said the car hit a utility pole at the South Dawson Street intersection before crossing a median and rolling over.

The WRAL Breaking News Tracker was on the scene as crews responded to the crash. A traffic light and utility pole could be seen knocked down on the road.

According to police, the road will be closed there for a “significant amount of time” until repairs are finished.

Police said the driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
