With NCAA football set to enter an era with revenue sharing, roster limits and a lot of other financial factors, the Missouri Tigers hired Gaurav Verma as the football program’s first director of football strategy and finance.

Missouri announced the hiring Friday in a press release.

Verma, who most recently worked with the Denver Broncos as a specialist for the salary cap, will oversee roster, scholarship and revenue cap planning, talent evaluation, scouting operations, recruiting calendar and logistics, analytics and recruiting infrastructure and compliane, NIL and interdepartmental collaboration.

“We are really excited to add Gaurav to our program,” Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz said in the press release. “His NFL experience, as well as his business background, will help us navigate revenue sharing and contract management.”

Verma will be the first person in the newly created position and will report directly to Drinkwitz.

Vernma is a Boston native who earned an MBA in finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2023. He also hs a Bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Johns Hopkins.

Prior to working with the Broncos, he worked in investment banking, data science and business developement.
