Ingrid recently joined Street Fighter 6 as its 30th fighter. Her addition marks the end of Season 3, meaning that we’re now awaiting Season 4 content, which recently got announced.
It’s only been a couple of weeks since Ingrid joined the roster. There was some notable balance tweaks applied with the latest patch, but Capcom appears to be biding its time for its major balance update.
This provides us fans with time to properly evaluate Ingrid’s role in the current meta. Though her gameplan functions somewhat similarly to that of JP’s, her Suncrest stock system is entirely unique in how it behaves.
Momochi recently had a discussion with the rest of Team Zeta about the current tier list for Street Fighter 6. An entire section of the video is dedicated to simply talking about Ingrid.
It’s still early, but impressions seem to indicate that Ingrid is an A tier combatant. She shares her tier category with the likes of Terry, Ryu, Blanka, C. Viper, Akuma, M. Bison and five others.
As of right now, it feels like the strongest characters in Street Fighter 6 are Mai, Sagat, Ed and JP. They all reside in the S tier category at the very top.
