Jonathan Parker

Jonathan Parker has been hired as head baseball coach of the Baton Rouge Community College Bears. Parker spent the last four years as recruiting coordinator and assistant coach at Jones College in Ellisville, Mississippi, where he helped guide them to a berth in the NJCAA Division II World Series.
Dr. Jacob Mey has been named a media spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Mey, who directs the Mitochondrial Energetics and Nutrient Utilization Laboratory at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center, is the only Louisiana-based spokesperson for the academy.
John Kirwan has been named the next director of the University of Oklahoma Health Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, pending approval by the university’s board of regents. Kirwan was formerly the executive director of the Pennington Biomedical Research Center.
Sandy Holloway has been appointed as the chair of the Louisiana Special School District Board of Directors. Holloway, a former teacher, school administrator and executive director of a Lafourche Parish charter school, is on her third term as a member of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.
