MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont Gov. Phil Scott has vetoed a bill on reference-based pricing. The bill would have created a set price for healthcare statewide.
Advocates claimed the bill would lower healthcare costs, keep hospitals open and keep insurance companies from going belly-up.
Among other objections raised in his veto on Tuesday, the governor said those claims don’t hold up.
