A motorcyclist was killed early Thursday morning in a crash in north Raleigh.
The WRAL Breaking News Tracker arrived to the scene of the crash at Ebenezer Church Road and Lease Lane around 3 a.m. on Thursday.
Raleigh police said Thomas Nguyen, 45, was speeding when he took a curve, causing the motorcycle to run off the road. The motorcycle hit a ditch and several large rocks.
Nguyen was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, where he later died.
At least three Raleigh police cruisers were at the scene with police tape around a crashed motorcycle on the side of the road.
Police at the scene said the motorcyclist was the only one who crashed.
